Azercell has designed a special alphabet reflecting the creativity of the great Nizami.
On the occasion of the 880th anniversary of the great poet and great thinker Nizami Ganjavi, 2021 was declared the “Year of Nizami Ganjavi” by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev. The country’s leading mobile operator “Azercell Telecom” LLC also took the initiative in this direction and implemented an interesting project. The company has designed a special alphabet dedicated to the creativity of Nizami Ganjavi, one of the most prominent classics of world literature. The alphabet reflecting Nizami’s creativity serves the study and promotion of the rich heritage of the great poet.
The letters of the alphabet, designed in an interesting style, reflect the heroes of the poems included in the “Khamsa” of the great Nizami, famous characters in these works, and people who played a special role in the poet’s life. For example, the letter “A” glorifies the poet’s first wife, the Kipchak beauty Afag, the letter “B” glorifies the Sassanid ruler Bahram from the poem “The Seven Beauties,” the letter “F” glorifies the famous Fitna, and the letter “I” glorifies the mighty commander Alexander. Each of the letters is decorated with miniatures corresponding to the characters whose names are mentioned.
